FAQ [Frequently Asked Questions]

1. I am a physically challenged candidate; can I get a course of my choice?
You can register online just like any other candidate for allotment for merit seats, click Yes in the relevant column for Differently Abled. If more than one applicant opts for the same college, the list will be prepared on the basis of index marks for the reserved seats.
2. What are the mandatory steps that I have to follow to become a valid applicant?
  1. The first step of B.Ed online registration process is to click on "Click here for Registration" button available in the home page of the website www.admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in. After that, the candidate has to provide the minimum details like Name, Date of birth, Gender, Category and Email id . After entering the required details the candidate will be provided with a unique APPLICATION NUMBER..
  2. After generating the Application number the candidate should login with the Application number and Password. Date of Birth is the password by default (DD/MM/YYYY)
  3. The candidate should follow the 8 steps of the online registration process as mentioned in the prospectus.
  4. DO NOT SEND HARD COPIES OF ONLINE APPLICATIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY.
  5. Wait for the allotment and take the printout of the allotment memo (if any).
  6. Pay the University fee through online mentioned in the memo and get the fee receipt and login and confirm your seat.
  7. Report for admission in the college with all original documents and fee receipt on the date notified by the University.
  8. If you are satisfied with the allotment, cancel the higher options (if any).
3. Is payment through University cash counter accepted?
No. Only the fee has to be remitted by the candidates by online mode (e-payment) will be considered.
4. Is payment as DD/Cheque accepted?

5. Can I use the ordinary Chalan of SBI for the payment?

6. I am a SC candidate with 35% of marks for my Plus two course, science stream. Am I eligible for Bcom course?
The minimum mark in the qualifying examination for SC candidates for admission to the Degree courses of studies is 35%.
7. How is the index mark calculated?
The procedure for calculating the index marks for different programmes is given in the prospectus.
8. Is it possible to edit my personal and academic details in my Home page?
You can edit some of the details till the last date and time notified by the University.Click the 'Edit Profile' menu in your page.There is provision to edit some fields in each section if required. The updation will be effected only after taking the latest print out of the appplication form.
9. Can I change my options given online?
You can change the options till the last date and time notified by the University.
10. What is trial allotment?
Just before the actual allotment, the university is giving you an opportunity to know your chances of getting the allotment in a college/course. You will be given a short period to make necessary modifications in the options.
11. If I get allotment in the first phase, what should I do next?
You need to pay the fee mentioned in the allotment memo and ensure your seat. If you are satisfied with the allotment, you can cancel all higher options if any. If you are not cancelling your higher options, you will be considered again for later allotments. If you are not paying the fee within the stipulated period, and entering the details of the remittance of fee in the website, your present allotment and the entire remaining options will be cancelled and you will not be considered for any further allotments. You can download allotment memo on prescribed date by the University.
12. I got allotment in the first phase but I forgot to cancel my higher options. What will be the result?
Your higher options will be considered in the subsequent allotments. If you are receiving allotment in any of the subsequent phases, based on your remaining higher options, you should move to that college/course. If not, you will forfeit the new allotment and the earlier one. Thus you will lose your seat.
13. How can I cancel my higher options?
A. Login to the applicant home page using the application number and password (initially it will be the date of birth itself).
B. Go to the My Options page.
C. The active higher options will be marked with green color and there will be a button "Cancel" against each active option.
D. Click the cancel button, against the option you want to cancel. Or click the button "Cancel all higher options" button if you are not interested in any of the higher options.
14. How can I take printout of my allotment memo?
A. Login to the applicant home page using the application number and password (initially it will be the date of birth itself).
b. Go the "Allotment" page.
c. Click the button "Print Allotment Memo"
d. Your allotment memo will be displayed and click the button Print to get the printout of the memo.
15. I have already joined a college based on my second allotment. But I am allotted to another college in the third allotment. I would like to join the new college. What should I do?
A. Take the printout of the new allotment memo.
B. Collect TC and other necessary documents from the college already joined.
C. Go to the new college (to which you are allotted) on the date and time given. Submit the original fee receipt and other documents to complete the admission process.
16. What are the documents that I should send to the University along with the acknowledgment?
No documents are to be sent to the University.
17. Is uploading photograph and signature mandatory for online application?
Yes, a scanned copy of the recent photograph [ 150 X 200, size below 40kb and *.jpeg format] and signature [ 150 X 60, size below 40kb and *.jpeg format] is mandatory.
18. Can I edit my photograph or signature?

You can edit your signature or photograph till the last date and time notified by the University. However you should provide the printout of the latest completed online application form to the University

19. I have got allotment in a college. Is there any chance that I will not be considered for admission in the college to which I am allotted?
Yes there are chances of admission being denied. During the physical verification of certificates and documents by the college authorities at the time of interview, if it is found that any information given in the online application is not correct, admission can be denied resulting in subsequent cancellation of the allotment.
20. What are the fees that I have to pay to the college at the time of admission?
After the allotment the candidate has to pay the special fee for the University as mentioned in the allotment memo. In addition to this, the candidate has to pay the other fees notified by the respective colleges.
21. Where should I submit the original pay in slip of special fee (after allotment) paid to the University?
You have to produce the original pay in slip in the college at the time of interview for verification. You have to keep the original pay in slip for subsequent allotments (if any).
22. I forgot my password and I am not able to enter my Home Page. What should I do now?

23. As per the ration card, I belong to BPL category. Am I eligible for EWS reservation?
